FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What should I expect for my first visit?
The first visit is an hour appointment with a doctor of physical therapy. We start by discussing what has caused you to seek physical therapy, how it is effecting you and your personal goals. The next step is to perform a physical assessment and then work together to formulate a treatment plan that best suits you.
What makes Cape Cod Be Fit different?
Being an out of network provider allows us to get patients in for treatment without delay and treat them one-on-one to provide the highest quality of individualized care. This helps our patients get back to activity faster.
DO YOU take my insurance?
We do not directly bill insurance. Clients pay for treatment at the time of service and are provided a receipt you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Please use the Insurance Worksheet to determine your "out of network" insurance benefit.
Do I need a prescription or physician referral?
No prescription or referral is required. Massachusetts law allows patients to have unrestricted direct access to physical therapy without physician referral.
Do you take medicare?
We are contracted with Medicare. We collect the Medicare approved amount from the client at the time of treatment. Medicare then processes the claim, mails the client a refund check and forwards any remaining balance to secondary or supplemental to provide further reimbursement based on plan coverage.
